ASPIRE INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL CASE STUDY

A LIFE Educare Case Study

Aspire International School, Nagpu

Rescuing a decade-old school with a leadership void and no systems.

Location

Nagpur, Maharashtra

Board

CBSE (previously CAIE)

Category

Turnaround

Campus

9 acres · 2,12,068 sq. ft.

The challenge

An independent audit conducted before LIFE Educare took over revealed a school in distress across every function, not just one.

Curriculum

Three curricula running at once — CBSE, IGCSE, and State Board across different grade bands — with no coherent academic direction. A senior-secondary batch had drifted into a practice where enrolled students weren't actually required to attend class, quietly damaging the school's credibility.

Governance

No written HR or Operations policies. Decisions ran on individual judgment rather than defined process, and statutory child-safety committees the school was legally required to have simply weren't in place.

Leadership

Deep experience with the outgoing curriculum, but little hands-on exposure to the CBSE system the school was about to adopt.

Finance

The school wasn't breaking even. Staffing costs had outpaced fee collections, and spending across several categories had crept up with no real oversight.

Marketing

Activities scheduled with no link to admissions, leads left untracked, and a social media presence steady in volume but repetitive and low-engagement.

Infrastructure & Safety

Missing statutory safety requirements, years-outdated inventory records, and an ageing transport fleet.

Real assets and a loyal base of families — but no functioning system behind any of it.

What LIFE Educare Did

LIFE Educare audited the school end to end — governance, academics, operations, finance, and marketing — then took over full operational and academic management, not as an outside advisor but as the team running the school day to day.

The strategic call

Consolidate the school onto a single board, CBSE, replacing the fragmented multi-curriculum setup with one clear academic identity suited to the local market.

From there, LIFE Educare rebuilt the school's systems from the ground up.

The Rebuild

Academics

Introduced a 360-degree teacher appraisal system, a year-ahead academic and activity calendar, standard formats now used school-wide — report cards, marks entry, teacher observation, Notebook Correction SOP — and structured teacher training in place of one-off workshops.

Operations & Compliance

Secured the school's Fire Safety Certificate, completed the closure of the Junior College, brought CBSE/UDISE+/APAAR compliance current, and set up a Quarterly Inventory Audit across every department.

HR

Released an updated HR Handbook, ran POSH and POCSO training school-wide, closed out key teaching and support-staff recruitment, completed the annual 360-degree appraisal cycle, and introduced a strict no-documentation-no-onboarding rule.

Finance

Moved to monthly Budget vs. Actuals tracking, presented the annual budget to the Governing Council, managed accountant transitions without disruption, and ran a fee comparison study against competitor schools.

Admissions & Marketing

Replaced scattershot activity with a real system — a Parent Referral Programme, a planned monthly marketing calendar, a structured walk-in and follow-up process, diversified lower-cost outreach across societies, influencers, radio and pre-school tie-ups, online listing visibility, and an honest channel-by-channel review presented to the Governing Council to guide next year's plan.

What This Case Study Shows

Aspire International School went from three fragmented curricula, no written policies, no financial discipline, and no marketing plan — to a school with a single clear board identity, documented systems across every function, and leadership that reports to its Governing Council on real numbers.

This is the model LIFE Educare brings to every school it manages, whether that's a full turnaround, a CSR-funded institution, or a government school adoption.
